Hi, Ohio requires we electronically file our state W2's, can I file them inside Quickbooks payroll core? Or, convert a PDF into a CSV file that has the correct formatting

Your state W-2s are filed automatically with your Federal W-2s. The feature applies to users using the full-service payroll plans (QuickBooks Online Payroll Core, Premium, or Elite).

To answer your question, yes, users who have this type of payroll subscription can file the W2s. Our team will be the one sending the forms on your behalf.

You can also contact our Payroll Support Team to check if you can get a copy and convert it to a CSV file. Our support will take over and ensure any concerns you need related to payroll are taken care of.
