We have part-timers who would normally work this Friday but it's  a holiday for our organization. How can they mark those hours on the time app so that when I go to run payroll, those hours will appear in that column on payroll.

Thank you for dropping by the Community today, don.

Administrators and managers can approve or deny team member time off requests in QuickBooks Time. Employees that have time tracking access are unable to mark their hours on the time app.

Having the ability for employees with time-tracking permission to approve or mark their time is a fantastic idea. This will surely help a lot of users and improves their working experience. Let's send this idea directly to our product developer for inclusion in future releases.

Here's how:

  1. In QuickBooks Time, click the question mark icon in the upper right and choose Suggest Idea.
  2. This action will open a screen that lets you input your thoughts and suggestions.
  3. From there, input your email address in the field box.
  4. Enter a brief description of your product suggestion.
  5. Press the Send Idea button to submit.

Regarding your other concern, the admin of the account must set up the time off codes and assign them to the workers. This reference goes into detail about the process: Set up and Manage Time Off in QuickBooks Time.
