How can I delete or update a payment account?

Quickbooks payment is listing my bank account as unavailable saying "invalid account, use another".  I do not seem to be able to remove or correct the information.  The account is with Chase (a very major bank).  Seems like a bug.  Cannot add a new bank either.

In QuickBooks, you have the flexibility to deposit customer payments into any standard business or personal checking or savings account in the United States.

 

QBO enables you to update or change the bank account into which QB deposits payments every time you process credit card and ACH payments. However, you can only use one account at a time to collect funds.

 

Since you can't correct the information in your financial institution, I suggest reaching out to Chase to check for ongoing maintenance issues. However, if everything is working on their end, you can update your bank account using incognito or other supported browsers. Please follow the instructions below:

 

  1. Sign in to your account using a web browser.
  2. Click the Gear icon and choose Accounts and Settings.



  3. Tap the Payments tab. In the Deposits section, next to Standard Deposits, select Change Bank.



  4. Click Add New Bank Account. Enter the routing number of the bank account you want to change to and hit Save.
  5. Locate the new bank account from the list and pick Verify.
  6. Enter the two small amounts we have deposited to the new bank account.
  7. Review the bank account info and complete your request.

There are instances when the browser is loaded with frequently accessed pages, which results in some unusual behaviors causing you to experience the error. That said, let's perform some basic troubleshooting measures. This way, we can isolate the issue so we can get back to business seamlessly.

I suggest that you open a private window in your browser to access the product with a clean slate. Depending on your browser, you can use the following shortcuts:
 

  • Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl+ Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P


If it works, please return to your regular browser and clear the cache to refresh the page. Additionally, switching to other supported browsers could also be worth a shot.
