Question

How can I get my 1099NEC forms to be properly aligned? The first form on the page is almost correct, but the next 2 on the page are very, very high up and don't align

Using the align tool does not work for even the top form - the bottom 2 forms are too high up on the page and do not fit the form.

It's important to have our payroll forms aligned properly, @TBroom. I'm here to ensure everything is in order.

Let's start by making sure the general alignment from the PDF settings applies the following changes:

  • Page Scaling is set to None.
  • Ensure that Auto-Rotate and Center is unchecked.
  • Ensure that the Choose Paper Source by PDF page size is checked.

After that, go back to the Prepare 1099 section and select the "No, it doesn't line up" option. See this for the instructions:

  1. Go to the Prepare 1099 page, and select Finish preparing 1099s.
  2. Hit No, I'll print and mail.
  3. Choose 1099 and print a sample page, then click No, it doesn't line up.
  4. If it's already aligned correctly, click on Yes, looks good!.
  5. Hit Next.
  6. Select Done to complete printing 1099.

If you're still experiencing the same problem, update, repair, or re-install Adobe Reader/Acrobat. This prevents common issues when printing.
