How can I map child support payments from the employee's paycheck to a certain category?

I can help you keep track of child support payments in QuickBooks Online.

To do that, I suggest going to the Payroll Settings page. From there, you can change the Accounting preferences.

Here's how:

1. Click on the Gear icon.
2. Select Payroll Settings.
3. Under Accounting, click on the edit (pencil) icon.

After that, you should view this page then you can start mapping the payments. I recommend you consult your accountant for any questions about the categories to use and/or accounting-specific concerns.
