We'll provide details to assist you in setting up payroll inside your QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

Before anything else, please know that you'll need to subscribe to QuickBooks Online Payroll to access it inside your company. If you already have a subscription, we'll gladly write down the steps to get you going:

 

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company as the primary admin.
  2. On the left navigational bar, click the Payroll tab and then select Overview.
  3. Select Get started.
  4. Click if you (or someone else) paid employees in the current year.
  5. Select the date when you want to start paying your employees through QuickBooks.
  6. Enter your business address and your main payroll contact info.
  7. Select how you’ve run your payroll in the past.
  8. Now you’ll start adding your employees. See Add your team below for details.
  9. If you haven’t paid any of your employees this year, you can opt to pay them now by paper check if needed.
