How can I turn off payroll services?

Turning off payroll is quick and easy. I'll guide you on how Patti.

But before that, make sure to complete and process your final payroll and print the necessary payroll reports. Aside from that ensure to pay any outstanding tax deposits and process and file any outstanding annual or quarterly forms. Once done, follow the steps on how to cancel your payroll service:

1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Account and Settings.
2. Select Billing & Subscription.* In the Payroll section, select Cancel.
3. Fill out the online cancelation form to complete your cancelation.

If the Billing & Subscription tab won't show up, you're not signed in as the Master or Company Administrator on the account or you purchased your QuickBooks Online from your Accountant. In these cases, you'll have to sign in with an admin account or contact your accountant to cancel your payroll subscription.

Furthermore, please know that you will still have read-only access to your payroll data for 6 months before we permanently delete them. I encourage exporting or saving a copy of the payroll reports that you might need in the future.
