How come I can't export my paychecks from my existing QB online payroll core to my brand new QB Simple Start

Hello, jan. I can definitely help you out with exporting and importing paychecks from QuickBooks Online Payroll Core to QuickBooks Simple Start. 

 

Before doing so, can we ask if you get an error message or prompt when exporting paychecks from QuickBooks Oline? Any additional info such as screenshots will be much appreciated. Be sure to filter any confidential information.

 

Also, make sure to complete your payroll setup tasks. Once your payroll setup is complete, you'll be able to export payroll data into QuickBooks Online.

 

It may also have something to do with your browser. Please be aware that a browser accumulates temporary internet files that can affect your browsing experience.

 

In the meantime, we can perform some basic browser troubleshooting to rule out the possibility of being in this situation. You'll want to access your account in an incognito or private browser. Feel free to use these shortcut keys:

 

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

 

Once you're in, try to export your paycheck. If it works, I recommend clearing your browser's cache. Doing so will remove the historical data and access QuickBooks with a clean slate. You can also switch to a different supported browser.

Good Morning

The problem I am having is linking Intuit online payroll to my brand new (last week) QB Online. I have had a Payroll subscription for quite some time. Prior to starting with QBO I had QB 2019 desktop for Mac, which I was always able to export my payroll to my desktop. Now I can't export my payroll or tax payments to QBO. When I try to export it says (Error while exporting transactions, try again later) Any help will be appreciated

Hello there, @jan40. Allow me to chime in and share some details about your issue regarding exporting transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

Currently, there's an ongoing investigation (INV-92964) about getting an error when exporting payroll data from Intuit Online Payroll to QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. 

 

Please be assured that our engineering team is dedicated to resolving this matter with a suitable solution. We want you to know that fixing this issue is our top priority and we are committed to seeing it through until it is completely resolved.

 

While we don't have an exact time frame for when this issue will be fixed, I recommend contacting our phone support team to add you to the list of affected users. Once your account is linked, you'll receive an email notification when an update is available.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. In your QBO account and select the Help menu.
  2. Next, choose the Search tab and click Contact Us.
  3. From there, enter a brief description of your concern. Example: INV-92964.
  4. Then, select Continue. 
  5. Choose either Start a chat or Get a callback to get in touch with the phone support.

 

The program also provide several payroll reports that you can pull up to help you view your employee details, business finances, and payroll information.
