Question

How do I align printing 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC on quick book online?

I have QBO plus. The “No, I print by myself” option to print 1099 gives the pdf output unaligned to the paper form.

I'm here to help you with your 1099 printing alignment in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Dieulam.

Can you tell me where this form originated from? If it's not from Intuit, you can use the following steps to properly align the 1099. You can go to the Fine-tune alignment page to make adjustments to your form alignment.

  1. On the Prepare 1099 page, click Finish preparing 1099s.
  2. Select No, I'll print and mail.
  3. Select 1099 and print a sample page, then select No, it doesn't line up.
  4. If the form already aligns properly, select Yes, looks good!
  5. Choose Next.
  6. Click Done to complete printing 1099.

@LeizylM

There is no option “No, it doesn’t line up”. See attached.

The “Print Sample of 1099” takes to a static pdf screen.
The “Need Help?” take to genetic guidance like using the two browsers that I tried and failed. I have the impression it has to do with the backend set up for 1099 for QBO Plus subscription need to be fixed. Thanks.

I appreciate you coming back and posting additional information regarding your concerns here in the Community, Dieulam.

Since you’re experiencing an issue with printing your 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Let’s perform basic troubleshooting steps to solve this matter. Let's begin with logging in to your QuickBooks Online account using a private or incognito browser.

Here are some keyboard shortcuts that you can use:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N

After that, check if the option is already available and if printing the sample of 1099 is not static on the screen in your QBO. If it does, clear your browser's cache to remove cookies that are blocking web pages from streaming seamlessly.

Since you are still facing the problem after performing all the possible steps to fix the problem, I recommend contacting our support team. They possess specialized tools that can securely access your account and investigate the reasons behind this unusual behavior.
