how do i cancel a direct deposit that was wrongly submitted to another account

If the account doesn’t exist or is closed and the deposit is confirmed as rejected, please check each article and follow the steps:

        1. First, void the paycheck.

        2. Then, update the employee’s bank account.

        3. After, recreate the paycheck and send a new direct deposit.

If it’s a Live Account (deposit successfully), you can request a direct deposit reversal up to 5 business days from the pay date (the paycheck date counts as the first day). Please note that this does not guarantee the recovery of the funds. Here's what you need to do:

1. Request a direct deposit reversal and wait for it to complete. 
2. You can pay your employee with a regular check during this time.
3. Once you receive the results, update your employee’s bank account information.

Please note that once the reversal is successful the rejected amount will be credited back to your company’s payroll account.
