How do I change my payroll cycle dates?

Let me provide the steps on how to change the payroll cycle dates, sales-tastyzayto.

 

QuickBooks Online lets you set up, assign, or update pay schedules. You must select or enter the correct pay period ending first so you can edit the pay period.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Payroll, then Employees.
  2. Select your employee.
  3. From Employment details, select Start or Edit.
  4. From the Pay schedule ▼ drop-down, select the pay schedule for the employee moving forward. 
  5. If you need to create a new pay schedule, click + Add pay schedule.
  6. Fill out the appropriate fields, then click Save.
  7. When you're done, click Save.

 

If the payroll created is already processed, you can delete the paycheck and re-create it. This way, the updated pay schedule will appear when you run payroll in QuickBooks.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Payroll, then Employees.
  2. Select Paycheck list.
  3. Select the paycheck(s) you'd like to delete or void, then select Delete or Void.
  4. Choose Yes.

 

If you are unable to delete or void, you'll see a message explaining why. Please contact our Payroll Team for help in voiding the paycheck.
