How do I change the dates of my payroll in Quickbooks Online?

I apparently set up the dates of my pay period incorrectly and need to adjust them. Where do I go in quickbooks in order to make this adjustment?

Allow me to outline the process for adjusting the dates of the payroll cycle, @arkvalleyinfo

 

In QuickBooks Online, you can create, assign, or change pay schedules. You need to input the correct end date for the pay period before making any adjustments.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Payroll, then Employees.
  2. Select your employee.
  3. From Employment details, select Start or Edit.
  4. From the Pay schedule ▼ drop-down, select the pay schedule for the employee moving forward.
  5. If you need to create a new pay schedule, click + Add pay schedule.
  6. Fill out the appropriate fields, then click Save.
  7. When you're done, click Save.

In cases where the payroll has been processed, you can delete the paycheck and then recreate it. This will ensure that the revised pay schedule is reflected when running payroll in QuickBooks.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Payroll, then Employees.
  2. Select Paycheck list.
  3. Select the paycheck(s) you'd like to delete or void, then select Delete or Void.
  4. Choose Yes.

If you are unable to delete or void, you'll see a message explaining why. Please contact our Payroll Team for help in voiding the paycheck.

I have a salaried employee with the incorrect pay period dates.  I do not see an "edit pay type" button. I have not run a payroll yet, but I have entered all past paychecks. It appears that I am unable to change a salary pay date.  Can you help with this?
