How do I change the payroll banking information when it says that I have pending debits? I will always have pending debits because we do payroll every 2 weeks.

I know how important it is to update bank information to run payroll. I assure you, you can change the following details before employees’ payday.

 

 

It is necessary to ensure that your bank account change is completed successfully and that payroll monies are deposited into the correct account.

 


You can also try these steps in altering your bank account information in QuickBooks Online by heading to Chart of Accounts. Here's How:

  1. Select Settings ⚙, then Chart of Accounts.
  2. Select New to create a new account.
  3. In the Account Type ▼ dropdown menu choose Bank.
  4. In the Detail Type ▼ dropdown, select the type of bank account.
  5. Give your new account a name. You can use the info under the detail type to add a name that fits. 

In 2-3 business days after altering your bank account details, a test transaction should display on your bank statement.
