At the bottom of reports, when the time is shown, it is the wrong time! We are located on US East Coast, and our reports print with Mountain time!

This should be controlled by your computer's time.  Is that correct?  If not:

  1. Right-click on the time in the bottom-right of the screen and select Adjust Date/Time.
  2. A window will open. On the left side of the window select the Date & time tab. Then, under "Changedate and time" click Change. ...
  3. Enter the time and press Change.

My computer's time and settings are accurate for EST but my report is reading GMT.

Hello there, shannonpingitore.

Let me bring clarifications to your concern about zone settings in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The date and time are recorded in Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on our QuickBooks Online (QBO) servers. Thus, when running reports, QBO analyzes the time based on the QBO server time zone which is the GMT.

Let me know if  you have additional time zone on the report. If you have other concerns, just let me know.

Same problem! It's also an issue when I'm scheduling appointments through QuickBooks into Google calendar. It always enters the time zone as GMT and I have to change it 15 times a day.. Fix the problem Quickbooks!

Thank you for joining this conversation, jaros. Your willingness to engage and contribute to this discussion about setting up different time zones is appreciated.

Location-based time zone configuration streamlines scheduling by automatically accounting for time differences, thereby enhancing the overall convenience for our users. Conversely, QuickBooks Online (QBO) servers use the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Nevertheless, we value your input and ideas about having the option to use location-based time zone and recommend you submit a feature suggestion directly to our Product Development Team.

I'll show you how you can send one:

  1. Locate the Gear icon.
  2. Under Profile, choose Feedback.
  3. Enter your feedback suggestion.
  4. Hit the Next button.

You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about product enhancements by reviewing Intuit's Product Updates webpage.

I remain prepared to provide further assistance regarding time zone setup in QBO, jaros. If you have any additional inquiries or require clarification on this topic, please feel free to share them by commenting below. I will promptly address your concerns as soon as possible, ensuring you receive the guidance you need to configure time zones effectively.

You do realize that this feature has been requested multiple times since 2018? I believe that 6 years is sufficient time to be able to accurately date items based on the USERS time zone by default once it is set up and be independent of QB servers. This is highly unprofessional and beyond annoying. It is time consuming and leaves more room for error.

Still no way to change the timezone, I would have thought this would be a basic feature, will be switching to a new accounting software in the new Fiscal Year

Having issues with this and time activities sent over from Clockity. Every time activity comes through 3 hours ahead GMT + 11 instead of my current Timezone which is GMT +8. Clockify. ran background checks and everything is being sent via the API correctly. It’s painful having to adjust every single time entry to reflect the correct time. Hopefully Quickbooks fixes this mess soon.
