Let me tackle the issue of deleting the tax documents for a state you're not currently working in, Jim.

QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP) automatically populates tax forms based on the work locations you have set up in your payroll settings. Currently, there's no option to remove these documents from the overdue taxes list in the Payroll Center.

To prevent the system from autopopulating the forms, you'll need to delete the state from your work locations. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Payroll Settings.
  2. Click the Pencil icon in the Work Locations section.
  3. Locate the state and click Edit.
  4. Select Delete Work Location, then Save.

If you didn't set up a work location, I recommend reaching out to our customer support team so they can help delete or archive those tax forms on your behalf.

Additionally, you're free to access your previously filed tax forms and paid tax payments in QBOP and print them for your own recordkeeping.

Moreover, QuickBooks Live Assisted can be a great resource for getting personalized assistance and peace of mind during tax season. With this, you'll have access to live experts who can guide you through the process and ensure everything is filed accurately.

Please don't hesitate to leave a comment if you have any questions or clarifications concerning tax forms. We're always here to help you in any way. Keep safe.
