how do I enter an additional state id number? We have an employee that works in a reciprocal state but none of my ohio payroll forms will file because it says I need to enter the additional state id

Allow me to assist you in adding your Ohio state tax information so you can proceed with filing your payroll forms. You can do this by setting it up directly from your payroll settings or on the payroll page.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Payroll settings.
  2. Click the Edit button on Ohio tax.
  3. Enter necessary info such as the Withholding and Unemployment Insurance.
  4. Hit Save.

 

You can also check the list of your missing info to pay and file your taxes.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. On the left menu, hover over Payroll and select Payroll tax.
  2. You'll see a warning prompt saying We need more info to pay and file your taxes.
  3. Click Finish up to see the list.
  4. Complete all needed information so you can continue filing all your payroll forms.

 

You can now start paying and filing your taxes and forms electronically with QuickBooks Online Payroll. Then, you can also view your previously filed tax forms and payments within your QBO account.
