Question

How do I export my files from Intuit Online Payroll to my Quickbooks Online Payroll Premium?

I already migrated from Intuit Online Payroll but I've had a lot of issues. It automatically migrates you to a Quickbooks Online Payroll Core plan, which does integrate with Quickbooks Time. I had to upgrade to Quickbooks Online Payroll Premium to get this feature. But now all my payroll data from the last 7 years is in my Quickbooks Online Payroll Core account. NIGHTMARE. No agents have been able to help me, and my Intuit Online Payroll no longer lets me login to it (even though I did not cancel it yet). I am beyond frustrated.

This isn't the kind of experience we want you to have with your payroll data in QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP), @office-manager-o. That's why I'm here to guide you on the actions you need to take care of this matter.

When you migrate from Intuit Online Payroll (IOP) to QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP) Core and then upgraded to QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP) Premium, your seven (7) years worth of payroll data will automatically be exported from one plan to the other and should still be intact and accessible.

Retrieving your payroll data is my top priority, but since the Community is a public forum, and we'll need to collect some personal information to pull up your account, I encourage you to reach out to our Customer Care team again. They have all the necessary tools to further investigate the cause of this migration issue and then escalate this to the data services team. This way, you're able to retrieve your payroll data and get back to business in no time.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help (?) menu.
  2. Select the Search tab.
  3. Click the Contact Us button.
  4. Enter a brief description of your concern in the What can we help you with? field.
  5. Select Continue.
  6. Choose a way to connect with us. Make sure to initiate contact during support hours.

I've attached a screenshot below that shows the last five steps.

Also, to learn more on what to expect when you move to QBOP Premium, I'd recommend checking out this article: Move from Intuit Online Payroll to QuickBooks Online Payroll Premium. It enumerates the plan's helpful features and new price structure.

I appreciate your patience regarding this matter. If you have other payroll concerns, please don't hesitate to let me know in the comments below. I'll gladly help. Take care and stay safe.
