I've got your back for exporting your QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP) data to QuickBooks for Mac, @Kahuna1.

Based on your description above, I can tell that you've already set your Payroll Settings to export payroll transactions via IIF from QBOP to QuickBooks for Mac.

QBOP and QuickBooks for Mac are two different and separate platforms. With this, you'll have to export your payroll data from QBO and manually import them to your QuickBooks for Mac company file.

After hitting the Export option, you'll see the .iif file at the bottom of your browser window. Then, you'll have to save it on your computer or folder. However, if the .iif file does not appear at the bottom of your browser window, you'll need to check your downloads file.

Once the file is downloaded and saved, go to your QuickBooks for Mac and upload the payroll data. Please follow these steps:

  1. From QuickBooks Mac, click File.
  2. Choose Import, then From IIF Files.
  3. Locate the IIF file and import it into QuickBooks Mac.
  4. The payroll information will then appear in your QuickBooks Mac check register.

Additionally, I recommend visiting this article to know more about the IIF import and export limitations: Export, import, and edit IIF files.

Also. I'm adding these articles to know more about your payroll preferences and available reports that you can use to view information about your business's finances and employees:

Please keep me posted on how it goes. If you have other exporting payroll data concerns, you can leave a comment below. I'll gladly help. Take care always, @Kahuna1.
