Hi there @Johnnyrisinger .

Thank for reaching out here in the Community today.

If the company is taxed as a corporation, we can use the expense account of the taxed paid. However, if it's a sole proprietor or partnership,  it's your personal income.

If you choose to put it into the business, we can use the Owner's Investment account.

Before doing so, I'd still recommend reaching out to your accountant for the appropriate accounts to use.

Let me guide you with these steps:

  1. Click the + New button.
  2. Under OTHER, select Bank deposit.
  3. Select the account to which the refund comes from in the Account field.
  4. Select to whom you received the amount.
  5. Select the taxes paid expense account or the Owner's Investment account  in the ACCOUNT column.
  6. Select a PAYMENT METHOD.
  7. Enter the AMOUNT.
  8. Click Save and close.

If you want to access payroll tax forms and payments, you may check this reference: Access payroll tax forms and tax payments.

I'm just a post-away if you need help. Keep safe!
