Can't find how to get a schedule c. Checked help topics and the most common things businesses seem to need yields no results. Can anyone here tell me how to get this?

Hello there, @che85mor.

You're unable to get a Schedule C form directly in QuickBooks Online (QBO). But, you can run a Profit and Loss (P&L) report so you can have all the information you need to generate one. Let me share further insights about this.

The Schedule C form allows you to report the income you've generated or lost in your business to the IRS. If you've organized your chart of accounts to match schedule C, the P&L report will provide you with the data you need.

To run a Profit and Loss (P&L) report, here's how:

  1. Go to Business overview, then select Reports, or go to Reports.
  2. In the Find report by the name search bar, type in Profit and Loss, and select it to open.
  3. Click the Customize button to focus on the details that matter to you the most.

You can read this article to learn more about report features and how to run specific ones to get the info you need: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

Also, you may want to check out one of our Help pages as your reference to guide you in managing tax forms, preparing taxes, and generating tax reports in QBO: Manage taxes in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you have other Schedule C concerns or questions about running financial reports in QBO. I'm always ready to help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @che85mor.

This is my first tax year since being forced to transition from desktop QB to the online version. Generating a Schedule C is one of the few things I really need it to do. Don’t see how a P&L is easily translatable? What a huge letdown.
