Question

How do I get quickbooks payroll services to move their services to the correct company account?

I had to cancel my QBO company account and start a new account. The payroll services for the cancelled account did not get moved over to the new company account. I've had several calls/chats with customer support but the reps fail to understand the issue and I can't get it escalated.

Hello, Matthew.

I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to our live agents. They might've already discussed this, but I'll provide some details about transferring your payroll data to another account.

QuickBooks Online Payroll subscriptions are separate, so we're unable to transfer your data to a different account directly.

Though, you have the option to manually enter the payroll details to the new account. This article has all the steps you need to enter the data, historical details and other information: Set up payroll

You can also look for a third-party app that lets you transfer the data from one account to another. Browse for a number of apps from the Apps Center: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/

Do you need more help working on your new account such as connecting your existing bank and categorizing your transaction? These articles can help you with the processes:

I'm willing to listen if you have any other concerns or questions about your QuickBooks Online Payroll account. Just let me know what you need to do, and I'll be right there with you.

Thanks for the reply. I’m getting charged on the “new” account for payroll services but the payroll services are not being reflected on the “new” account. To get details I have to log out and get back into the “old” account (the one that was closed).  They are still doing the payroll services but under the old account. No payroll services are done on the new account. Very frustrating that I can’t get customer support to understand the problem.
