How do I print Copy A of Forms w2 and w3 for 2020 if they weren't archived?

I need to send copies of Form W2 and W3 to the SSA for 2020 but they are not in my archive files.

If you can't find the tax forms in the Archived Forms section, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team for assistance. One of our specialists will gather personal information in order to access your account and then archive the payroll forms for you.

 

Follow these steps to reach them:

 

  1. In your company, head to the Help icon in the upper right to display the support window.
  2. Choose the Assistant tab and then enter a brief description of your concern in the Type something field. For example, needs help in archiving the W-2 forms.
  3. Click the Get help from a human link and type a phrase or keyword in the What can we help you with? box.
  4. Press the Continue button to view the support options and choose Chat to start a conversation or Callback to speak with an agent.

If our support team is unable to retrieve your previous year's W-2 and W-3 forms, I recommend contacting the IRS for a copy. The data should then be manually entered into payroll forms and submitted to the Social Security Administration (SSA). Hello. I need to print out a copy of my 2020 W-2. Thank you.

Once your employer invites you to join QuickBooks Workforce and you have successfully set up your account, @Meeka2025, you will be able to access and print historical W-2 forms for the past two years.

 

Since 2020 W-2 forms can't be accessed in Workforce now, I recommend reaching out to your employer and having them print them for you.

 

If you would like to print your W-2s for the past 2 years, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Taxes. Or More, then W-2s.
  2. Tap Download.
  3. Choose the W-2 you want to view or print.

 

To transition to a paperless system for your W-2s, refer to this article and navigate to the section regarding the QuickBooks Workforce App or the web browser option:  View and print your W-2s and other documents in QuickBooks Workforce.
