Good day. I'm here to help you with how to delete unwanted accounts in QuickBooks Online (QBO). 

 

If you're referring to deleting an account you mistakenly created in your Chart of Accounts, you can inactivate it so it won't appear on the list and your reports. Let me show you how:

 

  1. Go to the Accounting menu and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Look for the account and click the drop-down arrow beside the View register.
  3. Select Make inactive.
  4. Confirm the action by clicking Yes.

In case you want to make an account active again, you can follow these steps:

 

  1. Go to the Settings menu and select Chart of Accounts.

  3. Find the account you want to use again and then click Make active.
