How do I report employee income per week to our (Belizean) Social Security system? (They want me to report weekly wages on a Monday through Sunday basis.)

QBO's reporting system does not seem to pick up the fact that I defined "my" week as running Monday through Sunday. . . .

You're most welcome, @Brightflash.

At this time, the ability to create a specific report that drills down into the payroll summary by employee for each day of the week isn't available in QuickBooks Online.

You can only customize the report using the available options shared by my peer above. Please see this article for further details about this report: Create a payroll summary report in QuickBooks.

For now, I suggest sending your feedback to our product developers so they can review it and consider implementing it in the future. Please know that changes are also based on the popularity of specific feature requests. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Type in your feedback and product suggestions.
  4. Click Next to submit them.

I've also included this article for your reference, which explains how to save your reports to Excel, providing more options for personalizing your company's data: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.

We highly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve our program. If you have any additional questions about customizing your payroll reports, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'm always around to help.

You can run the Payroll summary by employee report, Brightflash. I'll further discuss this matter.

Running weekly wage reports in QuickBooks Online Payroll is crucial for ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance with tax regulations, and providing detailed insights into employee earnings for timely reporting to government agencies.

To run the report I'll be glad to walk you through the process:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online Payroll account.
  2. Go to the Report menu, and search for Payroll summary by employee.
  3. For the specific date and employee you can customize it specifically.
  4. Then in the Group by field you can set it to Weekly.
  5. Once done select on Run report.

Moreover, you can visit this article to learn how to run, print, and customize payroll reports in QuickBooks Online Payroll and QuickBooks Desktop Payroll for future reference: Run payroll reports.

I’m still available if you need any further assistance with running payroll reports. Please let me know by tagging my name below. I look forward to supporting you.

Thank you, Eman, for your detailed response. Unfortunately, all things considered, my bookkeeper and I decided that the Payroll add-on wasn't worth it for me with my/our one employee (for tax reporting purposes). So my bookkeeper created the report on QBO itself. But QBO doesn't seem to like to adjust week designations by days of the week. . . .
