How do I set up my direct deposit? QBO says each employee must fill out a printed form and attach a voided check. There must be a electronic way to do this.

I'll help you set up direct deposit in QuickBooks Online, @david240.

 

With payroll, you can set up a direct deposit and pay your employees with electronic deposits directly into their bank accounts. 

 

Before that, you’ll need to set up your payroll bank account and add your employees' information. For detailed steps, please refer to this article: Set up your company payroll for direct deposit.

 

Once done, QuickBooks will show a prompt to have your employees fill out, sign, and date a direct deposit authorization form and attach a voided check from the employee’s bank account. 

 

To proceed, here's what you need to do:

 

  1. Select Taxes and choose Payroll Tax.
  2. Click Employee Setup.
  3. When you reach Authorization for Direct Deposit, choose Bank Verification.
  4. Click View and print.

 

After you complete this setup, the next paycheck you create for the employee will be a direct deposit. Please see Step 3 in this article for detailed steps: Set up direct deposit for employees.
