How do i update "My accountant" in Quickbooks Payroll?

Hello there, @sarah164. I'm here to lend a hand with updating your accountant in QuickBooks Online payroll. 

 

To change the accountant user, you can follow the same steps as you did when adding them to your account. Before doing so, let's remove your old accountant first. Let me show you how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Manage Users.
  3. Click the Accounting firms tab.
  4. Locate and select the name of the accountant you want to delete.
  5. Choose the small arrow dropdown ▼ in the Action column and then Delete.
  6. Click Yes for confirmation.

 

Then, to give your new accountant access to your company, see the steps below.

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Select Manage Users.
  3. Choose the Accounting firms tab.
  4. Click Invite.
  5. Enter the accountant's name and email address, then select Save.
  6. Click Next, then Finish.

 

Once done, have your accountant check their email, as they will receive an invitation. Tell them to click the link that says Click Here. If they already have a QuickBooks Online user ID and password, they can use it. If not, this is where they create their user ID and password.
