I'll provide details on how to manage your state tax forms, ryseacade.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) adheres to state and IRS regulations. Thus, voiding or correcting an e-filed state form is unavailable in the program. I recommend consulting your state agency since each state has different policies on revisions or cancellations of tax forms.

However, if you've manually filed your form and already recorded it to QuickBooks but need to delete or revise it. You can delete the original form and recreate it for revisions.

Here's how to delete a manually recorded tax form:

  1. Go to Payroll.
  2. Select Payroll tax.
  3. Move to Fillings.
  4. Navigate to Archive
  5. Choose which tax filing you want to revise or delete.
  6. Hit the dropdown arrow beside View.
  7. Click Delete.

Furthermore, you can access state agency websites for more details on tax forms, withholdings, unemployment, and other payroll taxes and forms.

I'm also adding this reference about how the system calculates taxes: Learn how QuickBooks calculates taxes.

I'll be right here if you have further questions about payroll taxes. Feel free to leave a comment below, and I'll get back to help you.
