I do NOT use QuickBook accounting.   What is the best way to enter payroll forn Quickbooks online payroll to a different software?

Is there a excel gl account file downloiad from QB online payroll  that I can import to my otther accounting software that would use by General Ledger accounts from my other software.

Currently I am printing the QB online payroll reports and hand entering these into my other accounting software as vouchers.   But this is really a pain since I use locations as different department cost expenses.

What do other folks do in this situation?

Thanks

Managing payroll data between different systems can seem challenging. However, with a systematic approach, you can still handle this. I'll share more details regarding exporting QuickBooks Online Payroll data, LDO.

By exporting payroll data from QuickBooks Online Payroll to Excel and formatting it to suit your other accounting software requirements, you can streamline your workflow significantly.

See these steps on how to export payroll reports:

  1. Click the Reports tab on the left panel.
  2. Next, find all payroll reports on the Search bar.
  3. Filter the report.
  4. On the upper left, click the Export dropdown. Choose Export to Excel or Print as PDF.

Furthermore, I suggest seeking advice from your accounting software on importing data from QuickBooks Online. Most systems offer an import feature or ask for a third-party integration.

I'm also adding this page to provide a detailed view of your financial information. Please use this to access the list of payroll reports and transactions for your employees: Run payroll reports.

With persistence and the right strategy, you can convert this task into a manageable and productive part of your financial operations, LDO. You are still welcome to post your concerns here. Have a great day.

Which payroll report do I export to excel?

September 14, 2024

Choosing the correct report ensures you get the precise information you need for effective payroll management and decision-making, LDO. I'd be glad to provide details about this.

In QuickBooks Online Payroll, there are several payroll reports you can use to view useful info about your business and employees. Depending on your current need for the new accounting software, here's an article containing a list of payroll reports you can access. Please navigate to the List of payroll reports section: Run payroll reports.

Additionally, you can export all payroll-related transactions including tax ‌and contractor payments in QuickBooks Core, Premium, or Elite payroll account.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Payroll, then Overview.
  2. From the Shortcuts, select Export.
  3. Select the transactions you want to export. You can use Filters to find the transactions you need to export.
  4. Select Export.

Once done, check your new accounting software’s import options, as most support Excel or CSV files. Follow its guidelines to select your file and map columns to the correct fields.

Apart from this, you'll want to view your business and employees' information. QuickBooks provides several reports for your needs: Run Payroll Reports In QuickBooks Online Payroll.

Fill me in if you have any questions about exporting or anything with payroll. I'll always make sure to get back to you.

Yes, you'll have to navigate to the app page to find a third-party application that can assist in migrating your payroll data to another software, @LDO.

Let me provide further insight about migrating your payroll data and accessing app page in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

As my colleague mentioned, the capability to directly transfer your payroll data to another software is not currently available. Therefore, you'll need to use a third-party application to assist with the migration. Since you have a online payroll, you can access the app page via your QBO account. Follow the steps below to navigate to the apps page:

  1. Log in to your QBO account.
  2. In the left navigation panel or menu, scroll down and select the Apps menu.
  3. Choose the Find apps tab.
  4. Look for the app on the Search tab that can help you migrate your payroll data.

You can also check this article for more apps that can help you migrate your data: App Center.

Additionally, you may consider reviewing the information shared by my colleagues as an alternative method for exporting your QBO Payroll data.

In case you want to export all your report data, refer to this article to learn how to maximize the use of your reports: Customize reports in QBO.

Please inform me of any developments, @LDO. If you have questions, feedback, or concerns about the apps or migration, feel free to reach out to the Community. I'm here to help.
