How to classify transfer that is part payroll
I have an individual owner of a corporation that has a transfer of $10,000 from her corporate investment account to her personal account dated 7/1. This $10,000 transfer is comprised of a $6,000 payroll check dated 8/1 and the remaining $4,000 is for regular reimbursement of expenses.
The $10,000 transfer is currently in QB as an uncategorized expense dated 7/1 and the paycheck is in QB with a check number and dated 8/1. How do I accurately reflect in QB this transfer and the associated paycheck/taxable income piece as well as the $8,000 for regular expenses?
