There are things you need to consider to be able to delete a tax payment in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
You can delete a payment if it's manually recorded (non-electronic payments), or if it's an electronic payment, then it should not have been processed yet. Hence, you can't delete it if the tax payment is in process or already processed electronically, the form was already transmitted or accepted by the agency, or the payment was rejected due to insufficient funds (NSF).
Here's how to delete a tax payment:
Go to Taxes, then Payroll tax.
Under Tax resources, select Tax payment history.
Select the name of the tax payment. Change the date range if necessary.
From the View and Print Form drop-down, select Delete. If you don't see delete, you cannot delete the payment.
Click Yes to confirm.
