Let's get this fixed, Dynasty. I'll guide you through resolving a returned payroll in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

If you're referring to your direct deposit payroll being rejected, you can simply void it and reissue it to your employees. Follow these steps to void the paycheck:

  1. Navigate to the Payroll menu, then choose the Employees tab (Take me there).
  2. Click on the Paycheck list tab.
  3. Choose the paycheck(s) to void, then tap Void from the Action column.
  4. Hit Yes to confirm.

Once done, update the employee’s bank account information. Then, recreate the payroll to pay your employees using direct deposit as your payment method. For more information, refer to this article: Create and run your payroll.

However, please provide additional details if this isn't the case and you mean something else with the payroll returned.

Additionally, you can visit this article for a quick view of your payroll totals, including employee taxes and contributions: Create a payroll summary report in QuickBooks.

I'm still in the loop regarding whether you have other QuickBooks-related concerns besides fixing a returned payroll. I'll be glad to help you out. Have a great day!
