BOA asked me to move from IOP to QuickBooks payroll and I started the automatic process the past Friday.  However, the process went wrong.  Now I don't have my new QuickBooks core subscription under my QuickBooks Essentials online account.  In addition, I have lost my access to IOP and my years of related payroll and tax data I have a QuickBooks Essentials online account for my accounting activities.  And I use BOA Intuit Online Payroll to do my payroll and file related business taxes.   I got notice from BOA/Intuit to start moving my payroll service to QuickBooks payroll, so I did.  I clicked on "let's do it" and choose the QuickBooks payroll Core service.  I then got an email from QuickBooks with confirmation of my QB core subscription and welcome email.  Clicked on the welcome email which prompted me to sign in with my current QuickBooks online credentials.  To my surprise, the new QuickBooks Payroll core subscription didn't show up in my QuickBooks Essentials online account.  When I go to the Gear icon, then my Company, I don't have any Payroll Settings.  When I selected Payroll function on the left, I didn't see any payroll data (which was supposed to migrate automatically).  I then went back to my BOA account and found the payroll service was connected to QuickBooks and I have lost my access to IOP and my years of related payroll and tax data! I am beyond frustrated with entire process and it turned out to be a complete nightmare to me.  The IOP to QB migration email didn't give any special instructions regarding to existing QuickBooks account to purchase upgraded payroll service.  So this should be an automatic process but IT IS NOT.  I have no payroll subscription under my account which QuickBooks expects me to pay, I lost my years of payroll and tax data and I cannot even log back to my IOP via BOA.   Please advise.

Hello boa,

This isn't the kind of experience we want for you. I can see you've been through a lot of effort when moving from IOP to QuickBooks payroll.

In your case, I'll route you to our Phone Support specialist. Since there are things that we'll need to know about the conversion, we'll have to determine the cause of why the payroll and tax data are gone after moving them to QuickBooks Online payroll. Also, we'll need to verify the reason why there's no payroll subscription under your account.

To make sure we address your concern in a prompt manner, please follow these steps to contact them:

  1. Log in to your QBO account. You can use our test drive if you want.
  2. Go to Help at the upper-right corner.
  3. Click Contact us.
  4. Enter a short description of your concern. Then, click Continue.
  5. You can then get a callback or send a message to start a conversation with our specialist.
