How to get payroll costs into project that didn't come over automatically

I'll ensure that your concern about some of your payroll costs not coming into projects gets sorted out.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), once you've set up your project, you can track labor costs in one of two ways. Using payroll expenses or estimated hourly costs. Check this article for reference: Track hourly labor costs and profitability by project in QuickBooks Online.

If you use payroll expenses, you'll need to run the payroll first to show the labor costs.

If you use estimated hourly costs, the labor costs show up right away. But they might be less accurate. You'll want to perform the basic browser troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue. It also helps to improve and speed up your browser's performance. Cookies and caches may prevent you from seeing the payroll costs.

First, you'll want to restart your browser. Then, try updating your bank in an incognito or private browser. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N

Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P

Safari: press Command + Shift +

If it works on the private browser, go back to the regular browser and clear your browser's cache. Then, see if the payroll costs show up. Otherwise, you can use another supported browser.
