I can walk you through the process of inputting previous mileage from the beginning of the year, @prodigyhotshot-y.

The Mileage feature in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) is a fantastic way to keep on top of your travel and account for it in your books. Here's how to manually add trips in QBSE. But before that, make sure to turn on automatic mileage tracking

Then proceed to these steps:

  1. Go to the Miles menu.
  2. Click the Add trip button.
  3. Record the distance in the Add miles field and then edit the Date.
  4. Choose the ✏️pencil icon to edit the start and end addresses.
  5. Add a Trip purpose note.
  6. When you're done, click Save.

For more information, feel free to review this article: Manually track mileage in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I'm also attaching this link to guide you enter and change info about the vehicle you use for work: Update vehicle info in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Keep in touch if you have other questions about managing your mileage in QuickBooks. I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Have a blessed day!

Is there a way to copy the same trip everyday for the beginning of the year? I only just started using QuickBooks in July but I make the same trip everyday

Hi, @prodigyhotshot-y.

Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about inputting the previous mileage concern you had the other day. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at any time.

Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
