Since you're using the automatic tax payments option, we'll be the ones to pay and file your federal and state payroll taxes. That being said, I suggest contacting our payroll support team to settle the incomplete tax payment. 

 

How's how you can reach them: 

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Proceed to Help (?).
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Enter your concern, then choose Let's talk.
  5. Select Start a chat or Get a callback from the next available expert.

Thank you for your response

I was trying to change my payroll account. The support person turned off the tax payment to do this.

It now comes on as incomplete tax payment. I was on the phone with support and they were unable to help me turn it back on or make a payment for this tax..

Automatic payments are still turned on.

Thank you for informing us that you had contacted our Payroll Support Team to rectify your concern about paying incomplete tax payments in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I can also see the urgency to pay these taxes to avoid any penalty that may be incurred.

 

Since the option to resubmit the payment is unavailable, the only way we can pay the following incomplete tax payment is to delete it and resubmit the tax payment.

 

Before that, you’ll need to turn off the automatic tax payments in your company file. Please refer to this article and navigate to the Turn off automatic tax payments and form filings section in this article: Manage automatic tax payments and form filings.
