Can you pay employees through QuickBooks intuit?

Hello there, @userspikesathletics.

 

Yes, we can pay our employees through QuickBooks. However, it can be done in particular QuickBooks plans. 

 

When using QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), we're unable to set up and utilize our payroll feature to pay them. We have QuickBooks Online Payroll that helps us pay our employees through QuickBooks or Intuit. If you consider using this plan, we can start converting your QBSE account to QBO. Please note that once we convert your account, we cannot go back to QBSE.

 

  1. Save your financial reports.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Billing info.
  3. If you see the Explore QuickBooks Online plans, select it to start the upgrade.

 

Next is to turn on the Payroll feature and start setting up your employees information.

 

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account. 
  2. Go to the Payroll menu.
  3. Within the Employees tab, click Get started.
  4. Select the payroll service of your choice.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions and to finish the setup.
