How to stop QBO from automatically filing W-2 copies A-D?

Hi,

We switched QBO accounts in March 2021 so the W-2 filings are incorrect. I need to manually file W-2s with the IRS to ensure the numbers are accurate. Is there a way to stop QB from automatically filing my W-2s and mailing them to employees without turning off automatic payroll tax filings? We use the payroll tax for state and local taxes so I don't want to mess that up. Thanks!

It's my pleasure to assist your form filing concern, @noraknotes

The option to stop QuickBooks from automatically filing W-2's when your E-services are active is unavailable.

Since we file your payroll forms for you, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care team to help you correct them. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company, then click Help (?).
  2. Select Contact Us
  3. Enter your concern in the How can we help? field.
  4. Click Let's talk.
  5. Click Get a callback or select Start a chat.
