Welcome to the Community space, bip.

I am here to provide some insights about filing the state tax for your employee from Georgia.

To start with, you'll need to have the following info to set up the new state in your payroll product:

  • Account number(s)
  • How often you're required to pay the tax (deposit frequency)
  • Tax rates

To ensure that your local tax jurisdiction is accurate, you need to have the physical address for your employees' home and work locations. If you aren't sure what city, municipal, or school district taxes your employee should pay, contact your local agency (Georgia) for the EIN.

After completing the information, you can now proceed to the step 1 and to of this article: Set up local taxes in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

Moreover, you can visit this article as your reference in editing your employees' information in QBO: Edit or change employee info in payroll.

Please don't hesitate to return to this post if you have other concerns about filing your employees' state tax in QBO. I'll be here to provide furher assistance. Have a good one!
