Thanks for choosing QuickBooks Online (QBO) as your accounting partner, Donna. I'm happy to share some info about Box 12 in your W-2 form with the code.

You can check the Taxes and forms page to verify the data reported under codes FF and DD in Box 12 of W-2. Let me guide you on how:

  1. In your QBO account, go to the Taxes menu and select Payroll tax.
  2. Next, select the Filings tab.
  3. Then, look for the W-2, Copies B, C & 2, and fix it.
  4. Select the Health Coverage link on the Printable Employee Copies: Form W-2 page.
  5. If this is the first time you've visited this page, select go here.
  6. Click the Need to update your Health Coverage amounts in box 12.
  7. From there, enter the dollar amount for each employee:
    • Use Box 12DD for the coverage you provide your employees.
    • Use Box 12FF for reimbursements you give your employees.

For reference, please check this article: Report employer health insurance on W-2s.

I've also added this helpful link for more info about reporting health coverage in Box 12 using codes DD and FF: General Instructions for Forms W-2 and W-3.

Then, to help you fix the amounts in your employee's W-2 form, I recommend reaching out to our Payroll support team. They use specific tools to pull up your account in a safe environment to review the details further.

Keep me posted on how the recommendation goes. I'm always here ready to lend a hand to ensure you'll be able to correct the W-2 forms of your employee. Have a good day and take care.
