I am trying to add a new employee to payroll but it says 404 page not found what does that mean?

It means that the web page you're trying to reach while using the browser couldn't be found on the server.

 

In this case, I suggest refreshing your browser by pressing fn + F5 on a Windows laptop or press F5 for desktop. If the issue persists, you can run some troubleshooting steps to isolate and fix this hurdle. You can start by using a private browser as it disables saving your most recent accessed data. And, it's the simplest way to check unexpected behavior caused by a full cache.

 

You can press Ctrl Shift + for Google Chrome and Ctrl Shift P for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge.

 

When you successfully added an employee, I recommend clearing the browser's cache to refresh your page. This will remove the error and have a clean slate.
