You can choose between two options when creating your forms: you can either let QuickBooks prepare them for you or prepare them with QuickBooks' help.

When you e-file your 1099s with us, we can email or mail a printed copy to your contractors. Please note that fees may apply. However, If you'd like to print or reprint the form yourself, please follow these steps:

1. Go to the Taxes menu, then select 1099 filings.
2. Select View 1099 to view a PDF copy.

If you don't e-file with Intuit, you'll need to file the forms yourself. You must submit 1099s to the IRS and, in some cases, to your state as well.

After purchasing your 1099 Kit, here's how you can print your 1099s:

1. Go to Payroll and select Contractors.
2. Select Prepare 1099s to create your 1099s.
3. When complete, choose the Print and mail instead option.
4. Then, follow the on-screen steps to check your alignment and print your forms.
