Hello there, @brianb23.

I'll be glad to help you on how you can add a new Time Activity and Weekly Timesheet in QuickBooks Online.

To get started, let's make sure that you've turned on your time tracking feature.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Click the Account and Settings.
  3. Select Advanced.
  4. In the Time tracking section, select Edit ✏.
  5.  Enter your time tracking preference and then click Save, then Done.

Once done, you can add the new time Time Activity and Weekly Timesheet. For more information about time tracking in QuickBooks Online, read this article: How to turn on and set up time tracking.

If the issue persists, Let’s perform some troubleshooting steps to make sure that you be able to add Weekly Timesheet.

To use a private browser, here’s how:

  •  Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  •  Safari: Command + Shift + N
  •  Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P

If it works, we’ll need to clear your browser's cache to optimize the browser’s performance and your QBO experience.

If you get the same result while using an incognito/private browser, I recommend switching to a different browser.

Don't hesitate to post again if you have further questions about time-tracking. I'll take it from there.

Thanks for the reply, but I know how to enter my time.  I've been doing it for years.  The issue was with your system not loading.  But now it's working.

Thanks for getting back to us, @brianb23.

It's good to hear that it is now working and you're able to add Weekly Timesheet in QuickBooks.

Also, there are a few possible reasons why QuickBooks freezes or stops working.

  • Generally, QuickBooks Online's performance depends on the computer's processing power. The amount of available memory (RAM) can also affect how fast a certain page will load up. The amount of data you have and how stable the internet connection is also a factor since QBO is a web-based service.
  • Intuit recommends using the Google Chrome browser to get the best browsing experience. We'll also have to make sure that we're using the latest release. We can check it by going to the Chrome menu and selecting Help, then About Google Chrome.
  • Verify your internet speed (bandwidth) is not limiting your QuickBooks Online experience.
  • You can also clear your regular browser cache. Temporary data files are collected and stored on your computer within the browser you're using that may cause unexpected behavior.
  • Another thing consider is the operating system (OS). It's advisable to keep your OS updated and meet or exceed the system requirements for QuickBooks Online.

Please check out this article to learn more about this process: Why is my QuickBooks Online slow?

I've also added this article on how to Timesheet setup: QuickBooks Online and TSheets. It provides a step-by-step process on how to set up timesheets, print, and run a timesheet report in QuickBooks.

Feel free to drop a question in the comments below in case you have anything else in mind. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Take good care.
