Yes, it can and I'd be glad to elaborate more details about filing taxes within QuickBooks. 

 

QuickBooks Online Payroll (Core, Premium, and Elite) has a feature called automatic tax payments and filings. By default, it is turned on and it handles your federal and state tax payments and forms for you. 

 

I should also mention that the Core service doesn't handle local tax automation. Consider upgrading or using Premium or Elite.
