Hello, karen.

My main goal is to ensure you can make your employee active and change their address. So, I'd like to lay down a few solutions to fix the null void error message you encountered when applying the changes.

First, I recommend logging out and logging back into QuickBooks Online (QBO). Doing so refreshes your account for the updates to take effect.

If the error persists, I suggest accessing QBO via a private window. It'll help us verify whether this is a browser cache-related issue. Excessive cache used by your search engine can lead to problems that cause QuickBooks performance to degrade and affect the account's functionality.

When using incognito mode, it'll assist us in determining its exact cause since this doesn't save your browsing history and doesn't accumulate cache. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

Once logged in, change the status of your employee and the address. If you can update the info, clear the browser's cache. Doing so improves system performance, fixes program problems, and frees storage space. Using other supported browsers also helps us check if this is a browser-specific problem.

Once you're all set, you can explore the following resources to assist you in effortlessly managing your payroll data:

The thread is always open if you need additional assistance managing other payroll and employee information. Let me know, and I'll help you some more, karen.
