Question

I create a new tag group. or I think I do. but when I come back a few minutes later. it's gone. Am I doing something wrong?

same happens when i edit the title of an already established tag group.

I can see that you're adding a tag group and saving as normal as it was. If you haven't seen any error messages after the unusual behavior, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to get you back in working order.

 

In this case, I suggest using a private or incognito window when sending an invoice from your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account. This way, we can check if this is a data-related issue. Over time, aging data stored from the browser causes unusual behavior. To open a private or incognito window, you can follow these keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge & Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari versions 11 or higher: Command + Option + P

 

Once in a private window, log in to your QBSE account and try to create a tag group from there. If it works, then we'll need to clear your regular browser cache. This will give your browser a fresh start by making it work to its optimum performance.

 

If the issue persists, other supported browsers are good alternatives, too. Each of them has a distinct cache. This way, we can see and check if this is a browser-related issue. Additionally, if you're using QBSE mobile app, I recommend reinstalling and installing the app.
