Question

I enrolled about a yr ago in QBO simple start+ payroll for $35/mo. It quickly went up to $80 for awhile and the last 3 months was $85, $90, and $103. Why?

I didn't change anything on my subscription but the charges are going up substantially without any warning.

Recent increases in your subscription costs are understandable concerns, Ssk. Let’s work together to clarify these changes and ensure you fully understand your billing. We’re here to support you.

Beginning August 1, there will be a price increase for QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscriptions. The decision to adjust our pricing reflects our ongoing commitment to enhancing the features and functionality of QuickBooks Online. This investment allows us to continue delivering a robust platform that meets your evolving business needs.

Last June 2024, we sent an email about upcoming pricing changes for QuickBooks products and services. To learn more about this, see this link: Announcing upcoming changes to QuickBooks pricing.

Furthermore, the current discount on your QBO subscription will end after three months, as promotions last only for that duration. Additionally, the pricing will vary based on the type of your payroll subscription and the number of employees.

You can check this site for more details: quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/. This link will show you the plans and pricing for each product version of QBO.

Finally, you can check these resources to help you stay updated about QuickBooks latest features and product improvements you can enjoy while using the program:
