I exported employee payroll from online payroll to QB Mac. It is not showing up in my check register. Verified my settings in online payroll are correct. What do I do?

Hello there, @hiddenlakeresort. I'm here to ensure you'll be able to import your payroll data from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Mac.

Once you select the Export option, QuickBooks Payroll will download an IIF file that contains your payroll data. When completed, you'll now have to import the file manually to your QBDT Mac. This will ensure that your data will show up in your company file. 

If you don't have a copy of the file anymore, you can download it again in the Payroll settings. Then, import it to your QBDT program. To do so, simply go to the File menu, select Import, then click From IIF Files. 

When finished, navigate to your Chart of Accounts under the Company menu to check if the payroll details are imported properly. 

However, if the same thing happens, I'd recommend reaching out to our Payroll support team. They use specific tools to further verify the reasons that are preventing you from importing payroll details. Below are steps you can perform:

1. In your QBO account, go to the Help icon.
2. Next, go to the Assistant tab.
3. Select or type Talk to a human.
4. Then, input a brief description of your concern. Example: "Payroll data not being exported to QuickBooks Desktop Mac"
5. Click I still need a human.
6. Then, select the Get help from a human option.
7. Next, choose either Start a chat or Get a callback.
