Question

I filed my 1099 using your services. I can't get back to it to download my company form. How do I find it?

Hi Bar Diamond Services LLC,

Let's go back to your Prepare 1099s screen and print your manual copies of 1099s. Let me show you how.

  1. On the left panel, select Expenses, choose Vendor.
  2. Click Prepare 1099s.
  3. Click Continue your 1099s.
  4. Once you Finish preparing 1099s, select on the I'll file myself.
  5. Choose 1099, Preview and print sample. If the fields lineup, choose Yes, looks good.
  6. Select vendors to print, click Next.
  7. Print your 1099 forms.

This does not address my question. I asked how I recover the forms once I used the QB on line service to file.

I can help you get a copy of 1099 that you've filed, @zzbell.

If you've filed through QuickBooks Online, you can access or download your 1099 by logging into your 1099 E-File Service account here. You can download your 1099 document for future use. You can do that during the Download Your 1099 Forms step.

Here’s all you need to know about creating and filing 1099s using QuickBooks Online.

You can always visit our Employees and Payroll Taxes articles in case you need some related references in managing your payroll account and transactions.

Please let me know me know if you need more help with your 1099s in the comment section below. I'm only a post away. Take care and have a great rest of the day!

Where on Quickbooks Online does the company administrator (myself) generate the new invitation mentioned here in the message to the contractor?

Hello there, zzbell.

If you want to access archived 1099s filed through our e-services, you can follow the steps provided by my colleagues. I'd suggest contacting our Phone Support Team if you're still unable to log in to our 1099 E-File Service.

However, if your contractors are trying to view their 1099s, you can let them sign in to their free QuickBooks Self-Employed account. It's possible that they've attempted to create an account to view their tax forms. Just let them use the login they used to set it up. For more details, you can use this article to help them get a copy of their 1099s: Fill out a W-9 and view your 1099-MISC in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Keep me posted if there's anything else that you need help with. Take care and have a great day!
