Thank you for contacting us about the pending payment being held, gamblesrjr-gmail.

You can log into your QuickBooks Merchant account and check the status of the payment if you're referring to the customer's transaction. From there, you'll determine if the payment went through since there are no open issues when you review and confirm it.

Let me show you how to do it.

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Service Center any time you need to check the status of customer payments.
  2. If you see the word "Withheld" in the Method column, that payment is on hold and we're reviewing it.
  3. Any time there's an issue, we'll email you about it.
  4. You'll get an email at the email address you used to sign in to the Merchant Service Center.
  5. Read the email carefully. It'll give you specific steps to fix any issues. Usually, we ask for more info so we can complete our review.
  6. Follow the steps in the email as soon as possible.
  7. Once we have everything, we can usually complete our review within 2 business days.
  8. After the review, we can finish processing the payment.

Here are some common reasons for holds.

  1. When your payment processing exceeds the established maximum dollar amount expected on your account.
  2. When a transaction is processed after several authorization attempts and failures.
  3. When certain transactions require verification of your business type to ensure it complies with the Intuit Acceptable Use Policy.
  4. When our systems identify processing patterns that pose a risk to any of the parties involved: you, your customer, or Intuit.

We know delays are painful, but we're obligated to protect the interests of all parties involved in the payment process. You may refer to your merchant service agreement for more information.

If you need more details about the hold, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Payments Team. They can pull up your account and trace the payment for you.
