Question

I have a QB online and am trying to do payroll. If I give an accountant access to help me setup and run payroll, am I giving them access to withdrawal from my account?

I see how crucial it is to safeguard your bank accounts, Chad.

When adding an accountant user to QuickBooks Online, they can only review your financial records, make necessary corrections, and collaborate on any issues. They also have additional privileges such as undoing entire reconciliations, reclassifying transactions, and writing off invoices. Even if you connect your bank, they won't be able to withdraw money from your account unless they have access to your bank details. Just make sure you don't share your bank login credentials with them.
